A meeting was held at the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan with Esin Acar Ergin, Head of the Representation of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), during which issues of developing bilateral cooperation were discussed.

The meeting was also attended by A. Sarabekov, Head of the Minister’s Secretariat. The parties placed particular emphasis on improving legal mechanisms regulating the activities of cooperatives aimed at increasing living standards and reducing poverty, especially in rural areas.

During the discussions, the practical results of the activities of the “Navkat COOP” cooperative in the Samarkand region and the “Dilorom COOP” cooperative in the Surkhandarya region were presented. It was noted that their activities contribute to the creation of new jobs, as well as support for women and youth.

In addition, Turkey’s experience in developing cooperatives involving women and young people was reviewed, and the possibility of applying this experience in Uzbekistan was highlighted. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen cooperation in this area and to implement joint initiatives.
