On April 22–24, 2026, a delegation led by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, paid a working visit to Azerbaijan, where they held talks with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and executives of leading companies.

During the meetings, the parties discussed the implementation of joint projects, the development of industrial cooperation, and the preparation of new initiatives. They also explored opportunities to participate in an international urban development forum and exchanged views on expanding industrial cooperation and strengthening business ties.

Priority areas of cooperation were identified as mining, construction materials production, transport and logistics, urban development, the agro-industrial complex, and pharmaceuticals. In addition, projects such as the establishment of an “Uzbekistan” park in Baku and an “Azerbaijan” park in Tashkent, the development of pharmacy networks, and the processing of fruit and vegetable products were discussed separately. According to the results of 2025, trade turnover between the two countries reached $307.3 million, marking a 14.6% increase compared to the previous year. This indicates the steady growth of bilateral economic cooperation.
