President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in a ceremony to launch new joint projects. The initiatives cover banking, construction materials production, education, tourism and residential infrastructure, mineral raw material processing, and horticulture. This was reported by the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan.
During the ceremony, it was noted that strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have been steadily strengthening in recent years. Trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries has also reached a new level. As part of the event, projects in several areas were launched. These include cooperation in the banking sector, the production of modern construction materials, and the establishment of educational institutions.
In addition, the joint initiatives provide for the development of fuel station infrastructure, the construction of large tourism and residential complexes, the processing of mineral raw materials, and the development of horticulture. Participants in the ceremony connected online with project sites in the regions where the initiatives are being implemented. Representatives of these facilities provided updates on the progress of the work.
Following the event, it was noted that the new projects would contribute to expanding cooperation between the business communities of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, increasing mutual investment, and creating new jobs. The implementation of these initiatives is also expected to give the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries more concrete and practical substance.
