The results of work on attracting investments and increasing exports in 2024 were considered at a meeting with the participation of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported in the press service of the country's leader.
It was noted that the economy of the republic continues to grow steadily. The reason for this was the politics of transparency pursued in Uzbekistan and active attraction of capital. The country's GDP in 2024 reached 115 billion dollars, the growth amounted to 6.5%. The volume of foreign investments has also increased 1.6 times and reached 35 billion dollars.
On the country's territory 242 large and medium-sized projects were launched. Their total cost amounted to 10 billion dollars. In addition, exports reached 27 billion dollars first time. Mirziyoyev pointed out the importance of continuing this course to further develop the country's economy.
