Economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey continues to strengthen, with ties in the field of building materials reaching a new level. The similarity of national values and traditions between the two countries, as well as Turkey's advanced experience in the construction industry, serve as key factors in expanding cooperation.
On March 20, 2025, a meeting was held between IMSAD – the Association of Turkish Building Material Manufacturers, Uzpromstroybank, and the leadership of Uzpromstroymaterialy to further develop bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, a joint action plan covering nine strategic directions was approved between IMSAD and Uzpromstroybank.
In particular:
- Commercialization of scientific developments and strengthening cooperation between research institutions in the industry;
- Improving the quality of raw materials and building material standards, as well as modernizing national regulations based on Turkish experience;
- Disposal of industrial waste and development of mechanisms for its reuse;
- Implementation of new investment projects and attraction of foreign brands.
Additionally, it was noted that in 2024, the trade turnover in the field of building materials between Uzbekistan and Turkey amounted to $64.5 million.
