Currently, special attention is being given to the development of the agricultural insurance system in Uzbekistan. In this regard, foreign practices are being carefully studied and efforts are underway to adapt them to the country’s agricultural sector.
As part of these efforts, a delegation consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and other relevant agencies is visiting Turkey and Azerbaijan for business trips. During the trip, the delegation holds meetings with representatives of agricultural ministries, insurance market regulation and oversight agencies, agricultural insurance funds, and other important organizations.
The main focus of these meetings is to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, improve the agricultural insurance system, and introduce effective mechanisms for insuring agricultural products in Uzbekistan. In addition, the digitization of the insurance system and the creation of convenient and transparent electronic platforms for farmers and agricultural structures are also being discussed.
The parties are exchanging experiences in the areas of agricultural insurance, digital technologies, the use of artificial intelligence, data analysis, and the introduction of monitoring systems. As a result of these exchanges, agreements were reached on how to apply these achievements in Uzbekistan. These steps will have a significant impact on strengthening the stability of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, improving protection against risks through insurance, and safeguarding the interests of farmers.
