On June 16, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, participated in the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic States held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

The meeting was a significant and historic event, dedicated to the accession of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a full member of the Union.

In his speech, Davron Vakhabov congratulated Illés Náday, Chairman of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noting that Hungary's accession to the Union would not only expand the organization's geographical scope but also help strengthen the economic, cultural, and humanitarian bridge between Europe and the Turkic world.

During the meeting, a proposal was made to hold the next session of the Uzbekistan-Hungary Business Council in September. This event will provide a platform for entrepreneurs from both countries to discuss new projects and investment opportunities.

Additionally, an initiative was raised to organize a Women Entrepreneurs’ Forum in the city of Samarkand in August. The goal of this event is to bring together active women entrepreneurs from Turkic states and Hungary, to exchange experiences, and to support economic reforms based on the principles of gender equality.

Furthermore, an agreement was reached to hold a separate meeting with leading exporters to discuss potential joint investment and trade projects in the markets of the Turkic states and the Middle East.

This meeting in Budapest stands as further evidence of the strengthening of friendly relations, mutual trust, and strategic partnership between Hungary and the Turkic states.
