A meeting was held between representatives of “Uzbekneftegaz” and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), during which a memorandum of understanding was signed on the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the oil and gas sector.

The document aims to further strengthen cooperation between companies of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, promote digitalization of processes, and enhance production efficiency through the use of artificial intelligence capabilities.

Within the framework of the agreement, projects will be implemented to optimize diesel fuel production, develop a multilingual large language model (LLM) to support operational teams, and introduce “Seismic AI” and “ENOM” systems for automatic analysis of geological and energy data.

In addition, SOCAR will provide consulting support for the creation of a unified information architecture platform integrating all business processes and will participate in the development of the “ODLAR” and “Daily Drilling” projects aimed at the full digitalization and visualization of seismic and drilling data.

The signing of this memorandum marks a new chapter in the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the oil and gas industry, representing an important step toward expanding digitalization, increasing production efficiency, and implementing advanced technological solutions. This cooperation will also contribute to strengthening the economic and technological ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
