The Director of Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Abdulla Azizov, held a meeting with representatives of the Turkish company “PRIMA.”

During the meeting, the Turkish side expressed its intention to establish a modern manufacturing facility in Uzbekistan, particularly within the “Tashkent Pharma Park” innovation, science, and industrial pharmaceutical cluster. Under the project, an investment of $20 million will be attracted, and more than 350 new jobs are expected to be created. The new plant will produce baby diapers, hygiene products, and wet wipes. “PRIMA” is part of the international corporation “Procter & Gamble” (P&G), which operates in more than 180 countries and is a global leader in the production of household and hygiene goods.

Abdulla Azizov provided detailed information to investors about the favorable working conditions for foreign companies, available incentives, and the infrastructure capabilities of the pharmaceutical cluster. In turn, the Turkish partners highly appreciated the potential of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical and hygiene markets, as well as its favorable investment climate, and agreed on concrete practical steps for the implementation of the project.
