Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, held a meeting with Gellért Jászai, the head of the Hungarian company “4iG,” one of the major developers of telecommunication and IT solutions. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary in digital economy, IT outsourcing, the development of telecommunication infrastructure, and data centers.

Special attention was given to the significance of the upcoming “Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference” to be held in Budapest. The event is considered an important platform for presenting Uzbekistan’s IT sector to the European business community.

The discussion also covered topics such as the construction of data centers, the creation of infrastructure based on “green” energy, workforce training, and tax incentives. Representatives of “4iG” also exchanged views on the attractiveness of Uzbekistan’s investment climate, the rational use of surplus energy resources, and the role of data centers in the development of artificial intelligence. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation, implement joint projects, and attract European companies to Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem.
