A working meeting was held between a delegation headed by Elyor Maksudov, Director for Startup Development and Investment at Uzbekistan’s IT Park Uzbekistan, and representatives of Turkey’s Aktif Bank, UPT, and Aktif Tech. The Turkish delegation included UPT General Manager Murat Kastan, Aktif Bank Technical Director Kadir Öztürk, UPT International Partnerships Manager Meylis Amanmyradov, and UPT’s Uzbekistan representative Aziz Asanov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to involve Uzbek IT specialists in Aktif Tech projects, ways to integrate local startups into the bank’s ecosystem, and prospects for developing fintech solutions in the region. The Uzbek side provided the Turkish delegation with information about IT Park Uzbekistan’s operations, advantages offered to international companies, and conditions created for high-tech projects. Special attention was given to potential cooperation with two Uzbekistan-based startups — Mulk Protocol and PayLov.

  • Mulk Protocol works on real-estate and business tokenization based on an Islamic finance model.
  • PayLov is a platform offering solutions for money transfers, service payments, financial management, and investment operations.

The possibilities of integrating the products of these startups into Aktif Group’s platforms were evaluated. As is well known, Aktif Bank is Turkey’s largest private investment bank and provides international money transfer services to nearly 200 countries. The parties agreed to continue discussions, conduct a detailed analysis of the potential for attracting Uzbek IT specialists and startups, and further deepen cooperation in the future. According to IT Park Uzbekistan representatives, cooperation with the Turkish company will open new opportunities for Uzbek IT companies to enter the international arena and create new job prospects for local specialists.
