Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkmenistan Azizbek Madmarov met with Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Ataguliyev. During the talks, the parties summarized the results of trade and economic cooperation for 2024 and discussed areas of further cooperation. This was reported in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main topic of the meeting was the activation of bilateral business dialog. In particular, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of implementing the decisions of the sixth meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission, paying special attention to the creation of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen Development Fund and joint investment projects.
Madmarov also noted the need to expand cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the two countries and reported on Kyrgyzstan's plans to organize a business tour to Turkmenistan in April, requesting assistance in holding the event.
For his part, Nokerguly Atagulyev confirmed Turkmenistan's interest in strengthening partnership and expressed readiness to promote the expansion of business contacts.
In addition, he invited Kyrgyz entrepreneurs to take part in the exhibition dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as in the international forum “Investing in the Future of Turkmenistan” to be held from March 17 to 19, 2025.
