Turkmenistan is working to establish a Joint Turkmen-Kyrgyz Commission on Transportation, Transit, and Logistics, Mammethan Chakyyev, the general director of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, reported during a regular Cabinet meeting Friday.
The vice prime minister said this initiative aims to activate international transport and transit corridors in several directions, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
Chakyyev presented a proposal to the head of state and discussed measures to develop logistical cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in this area and approved the proposal for the commission’s composition from the Turkmen side. After approving the proposal, he instructed officials to proceed with the necessary work. The government meeting also addressed several other state issues, leading to corresponding decisions.
