National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which they discussed the development of Turkmen-Turkish relations, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Sunday.
During the call, President of Türkiye emphasized the importance of the UN General Assembly’s resolution on Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, highlighting its role in strengthening international peace and cooperation.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his gratitude for Türkiye’s support of Turkmenistan’s international initiatives and for the participation of the Turkish delegation in the International Conference “The Year of Peace and Trust: Developing International Activities for the Sake of Children”, dedicated to the fourth anniversary of the Charitable Foundation bearing his name.
The sides discussed the dynamics of Turkmen-Turkish relations, noting the strengthening of cooperation in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian fields. Special attention was given to collaboration in science, education, culture, arts, and sports, which contribute to further uniting the brotherly nations.
At the conclusion of the conversation, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and exchanged wishes for peace and prosperity for the peoples of both countries.
