Representatives of Turkmenistan’s tourism agencies visited Türkiýe's southern city of Antalya, widely known as the country's “tourism capital,” to explore its hospitality offerings, as reported by the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat on Monday.
The visit was organized by Türkiye’s Promotion and Development Agency and Turkish Airlines. Delegates from 10 Turkmen tourism agencies participated in the program, which highlighted Antalya’s appeal as a seaside destination.
During the visit, participants toured eight high-standard hotels considered leaders in the country’s tourism industry. The program, held under the theme of "Sea, Sand, and Sun," aimed to showcase Antalya’s capabilities as a premier travel destination.
The delegation also had the opportunity to experience the region’s distinctive cuisine and learn about its many tourist attractions, natural beauty, historical sites, and cultural heritage.
Business meetings were held between Turkmen and Turkish tourism professionals to exchange information and explore potential cooperation. Turkish experts also briefed the Turkmen delegation on the structure and development of Türkiýe's tourism sector.
