Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on July 3, 2025, to discuss the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation, according to Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both ministers expressed satisfaction with the high level of political and diplomatic engagement between their countries and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties in areas of mutual interest.
They underscored the importance of regular high-level contacts and consistent implementation of existing agreements as key to deepening and expanding Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations.
The two sides also discussed energy cooperation, noting the strategic role of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan as critical hubs in regional and international transport corridors. Additionally, the ministers reviewed ways to diversify economic ties, increase mutual trade, and boost cooperation in culture, education, science, and other social spheres.
