Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Turkey, M. Ishankuliyev, held a working meeting with the Governor of Erzurum Province, Mehmet Sekmen. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
The participants focused on identifying priority areas of interregional cooperation between the two countries. The agenda particularly highlighted agriculture, industry, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as tourism. The revitalization of business ties in the livestock sector was also discussed.
Within the framework of the meeting, mechanisms for establishing sustainable contacts between Turkmenistan and Turkey’s business communities were considered. The parties reviewed opportunities for joint participation in investment projects, based on the competitive advantages of the two national economies.
In addition, the Turkmen diplomatic delegation took part in the International Agriculture and Livestock Exhibition in Erzurum. This event is recognized as the largest of its kind in Turkey and is among the leading sectoral exhibitions in European countries.
