Uzbekistan has become the country in the Eurasian region where foreign direct investment from Türkiye has grown the fastest. As of the first half of 2025, Türkiye’s accumulated investments in Uzbekistan reached $3.1 billion. Since 2023, investments have increased by $1.2 billion, while the total increase since 2016 amounts to $3 billion. At the beginning of 2016, the volume of Turkish investments was at its lowest level.

Trade between Turkmenistan and Türkiye reached $2.2 billion in 2025, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said Tuesday during the exhibition of export goods from Türkiye in Ashgabat. Bolat, together with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev, opened the 12th exhibition of export goods from Türkiye, the minister said on social media.

Türkiye plans to resume imports of natural gas from Turkmenistan in 2026 and increase purchase volumes, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said in an interview with TRT Haber, Interfax reported Saturday. Bayraktar said 2026 will be a key year for the start of Turkmen gas supplies and their subsequent expansion.
