Kazakhstan has commissioned the upgraded Temir-Baba checkpoint on the state border with Turkmenistan, as well as Kazygurt on the border with Uzbekistan, the Prime Minister’s press service said Friday. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Hungary’s MVM ONEnergy signed an agreement in Baku on the export of natural gas. The agreement will enter into force on January 1, 2026, and will further strengthen the strategic energy partnership between Azerbaijan and Hungary. Some 200 companies with Turkmen capital are operating in Uzbekistan, including manufacturers of facing materials, textile enterprises, furniture factories, and service providers, according to a press release from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan.
