The 4th Meeting of the Common Turkic Alphabet Commission, organized jointly by the Turkic Academy and the Turkish Language Association (TDK), concluded successfully in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the “Implementation Guide” and the alphabet variants of member countries were approved, paving the way for the practical adoption of the 34-letter Common Turkic Alphabet that was accepted in Baku last September.

The volume of mutual investments among the member states of the Turkic States Organization (TSO) reached nearly $40 billion during the period from 1995 to 2025. The statement was made by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, at the Competition Forum of the TSO Member States held in the city of Shusha, Azerbaijan.

Kazakhstan possesses a significant mineral resource base. According to the state balance sheet, the country has 374 registered gold deposits with total reserves amounting to 2,369 tonnes. In the past year alone, five new deposits containing approximately 98 tonnes of gold reserves were added to the state register.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Defense Minister Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov and senior military officials to discuss recent developments in the defense sector. The meeting focused on improving air defense systems, enhancing border security, and modernizing the country's air force capabilities.

Cooperation with Türkiye in the field of military medicine was also among the key agenda items. During President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s official visit to Türkiye in January this year, the two countries signed an agreement on cooperation in military medicine.

Under the agreement, specialists will be trained in nearly ten areas, including medical treatment services, dentistry, and pharmaceuticals. In addition, the parties plan to implement joint programs aimed at retraining military doctors and improving their professional qualifications.

Other major areas of cooperation include conducting scientific research, organizing seminars and congresses, implementing joint educational programs, and promoting exchanges of students and academic staff between the two countries.

Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision, Akylbek Toktobaev, met with a delegation led by Nail Yıldırım, CEO of MTA International Mining Inc. (MTAIC) of Türkiye. During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of joint projects for the exploration of rare earth elements and strategically important minerals.
