A meeting was held with the participation of representatives from the Fergana region of Uzbekistan, Turkish travel agencies, and relevant organizations, under the coordination of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB). During the event, the tourism potential of Uzbekistan’s Fergana region was widely presented, and Deputy Governor of Fergana Region, Nuriddin Mamajanov, provided detailed information.
To increase the flow of Turkish tourists to Fergana, participants discussed the implementation of joint promotional projects and the development of cooperation between vocational education institutions in the field of tourism. TÜRSAB Vice President Davut Günay expressed his support for these initiatives and agreed to prepare a joint action plan.
As part of the initial steps, presentations for Uzbek tour operators will be held in Istanbul and Ankara at the end of November, and in December, an information tour to the Fergana region will be organized for leading Turkish tour operators. In addition, within the framework of cooperation, an agreement was signed between Fergana-based “Dilrabo Travel” and Türkiye’s “Tumbalu” company to begin the implementation of joint tourism projects.
