In the city of Shymkent, Kazakhstan, the country's largest greenhouse complex “Alsera kz,” designed to produce 155,000 tons of tomatoes annually, has been launched, reports EastFruit. The investor of the greenhouse is Turkey’s agro-industrial holding Alarko Holding. The opening ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov, Turkey’s Consul General in Turkistan Levent Gürcan, the Chairman of the Board of Alarko Holding İzzet Garih, and representatives of the Shymkent city administration.

Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have officially opened the “Shavat–Dashoguz” joint border trade zone, aimed at strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and increasing cross-border trade.
